The small holiday resort Madonna di Senales (Unsere Frau im Schnalstal) lies at 1.500 m above sea level and is situated on a picturesque sunny hillside embedded in green pastures.

The Gothic pilgrimage church that was turned into a Baroque pilgrimage church in the 18th century is worth a visit.
The ArcheoParc in Senales is made for families. It is South Tyrol’s first archaeological activity museum and demonstrates how the people used to live 5.300 years ago. It offers a variety of activities for children. From the open-air area of the museum you can see the place where the man from the ice ”Ötzi” was found.

When you walk round the artificial lake of Vernago you see particularly nice mountain farmhouses in the Val Senales valley peasant style. The massive mountain farmhouses made of wood have been coloured dark brown because of sun and wind.

Right at the end of the valley in Maso Corto (Kurzras) a glacier cable car brings skiers up to a modern all-year-round ski resort at a height of 3.200 m. The ski resort is suitable for beginners and experts, every year various national skiing teams come here to prepare themselves for the season.
